You may need to select or add new vendor bill payments in QuickBooks Online

If you have selected A/P and Expense Entry Services, your accountant may add or apply vendor bill payments in QuickBooks Online. When a payment comes into the bank feed your accountant may not have enough information to match the payment to an existing vendor bill. Copies of vendor bill payments should be uploaded into a folder within your secure document upload portal. Your accountant will send you notifications requesting vendor bill payment information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will select vendor bill payments and add vendor bill payments into a form directly within the request on your client dashboard.

Some Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will add and match bill payments with the information provided. In order to create bill payments, you should complete all required fields. Below is a list of required fields to enter a bill payment entry.

  • Reference Number (Check Number or Other Payment Number)

  • Vendor Name

  • Payment Date

  • Bank or Credit Card Account

  • Amount
