If you have selected Sales Receipt or Customer Invoicing Services, your accountant will match and add refund receipts in QuickBooks Online. Your accountant may not have enough information to identify customer refund receipts you have issued. Third-party sales and return transaction reports should be uploaded into a folder within your secure document upload portal. Your accountant will send you notifications requesting refund receipt information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will select existing refund receipts from a list and add new refund receipts into a form directly within the request on your client dashboard. All refund receipts should include the original products and service sold that are being refunded.
