There are a variety of different uses for locations to tag transactions in QuickBooks Online. If you have chosen our one-time service for Setup of Classes and Locations, your accountant will send you a notification requesting location information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will be able to select from a list of existing locations and add new location information into a form within the request on your client dashboard.

Some Form Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will create locations with the information provided. In order to create a new locations, you should complete all required fields. Below is a list of required fields for adding locations and sub-locations.

  • Name – This is the name of the location or sub-location

  • Parent Location – This is the name of the parent location if the location being added is a sub-location
