If you have selected Customer Invoicing Services, your accountant will match and add customer invoices in QuickBooks Online. When your accountant is categorizing transactions in the bank feed, they may not have enough information to match an invoice payment to a deposit. Third-party sales transaction reports should be uploaded into a folder within your secure document upload portal. Your accountant will send you a notification requesting customer invoice information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will select existing invoices from a list and add invoice information into a form directly within the request on your client dashboard. All Invoices include products and services.

Some Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will match and add invoices with the information provided. In order to create customer invoices, you should complete all required fields. Below is a list of required fields to add customer invoices. Please make entries into the optional fields for customer invoices that include billable expenses.

  • Invoice Number

  • Customer Name

  • Invoice Date

  • Due Date

  • Terms

  • Street Address (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • City Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Zip Code (Postal Code – Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Shipping Country Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • State Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Email

  • Product/Service

  • Product/Service Description

  • Product/Service Quantity

  • Product/Service Rate

  • Product/Service Amount
