If you have selected Customer Estimate or Customer Invoicing Services, your accountant will add new customer estimates and create invoices from estimates in QuickBooks Online. When your accountant is creating invoices from customer estimates they may not have enough information to find the estimate to convert into an invoice. Copies of customer quotes or contracts should be uploaded into a folder within your secure document upload portal. Your accountant will send you notifications requesting estimate information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will select existing estimates from a list and enter new estimate information into a form directly within the request on your client dashboard.

Some Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will add estimates and turn estimates into invoices with the information provided. In order to create customer estimates, you should complete all required fields. Customer Estimates and Customer Invoices must include your products and services items, or bundles.

  • Estimate Number

  • Customer Name

  • Estimate Date

  • Estimate Status (Pending, Accepted, Closed, Rejected)

  • Street Address (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • City Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Zip Code (Postal Code – Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Country Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • State Name (Shipping and Billing if different)

  • Email

  • Product/Service Item

  • Product/Service Description

  • Product/Service Quantity

  • Product/Service Rate

  • Product/Service Amount
