If you have selected Customer Invoicing Services, your accountant will apply and add credit memos to invoices in QuickBooks Online. When your accountant is applying payments to customer invoices, they may not know if credit memos should be applied first. Third-party sales or credit transaction reports should be uploaded into a folder within your secure document upload portal. Your accountant will send you notifications requesting customer credit memo information that will show up on your client dashboard. You will be able to select existing credit memos from a list and add credit memos into a form directly in the request on your client dashboard. All credit memos include products and services.

Some Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will apply and add credit memos with the information provided. In order to create credit memos, you should complete all required fields. Below is a list of required fields to enter a customer credit memo.

  • Credit Memo Number

  • Customer Name

  • Credit Memo Date

  • Your Content Goes Here

  • Street Address

  • City Name

  • Zip Code (Postal Code)

  • Country Name

  • State Name

  • Product/Service

  • Product/Service Description

  • Product/Service Quantity

  • Product/Service Rate

  • Product/Service Amount

  • Email
