If you have selected Bank Feed Categorization services, your accountant may need to add missing bank feed transactions in QuickBooks Online. When transactions are missing in the bank feed, they will need to be imported in. Your accountant will send you a notification requesting the missing bank feed transactions that will show up on your client dashboard. You will be able to enter transactions directly into a form within the request on your client dashboard. You can also upload an Excel csv file of bank transactions into a folder within your secure document upload portal.

Some Form Entry Fields are Required, While Others are Optional

Your accountant will upload the missing bank feed transactions provided. In order to upload the transactions, you should complete all required fields in the form, or provide the required fields in the Excel csv file that you upload. Below is a list of required entry fields for bank feed transaction uploads.

  • Date – The bank transaction date

  • Description – The bank text/description of the bank transaction

  • Account – The income or expense for the bank transaction

  • Amount – The amount of the transaction, which is either negative or positive number
